What You’ll Do
- Monitor and report on environmental compliance and sustainability performance across construction sites.
- Support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System.
- Conduct environmental audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
- Provide guidance on environmental legislation, waste management, materials reuse, and sustainability best practice.
- Support pre‑construction and tender submissions, including environmental proposals and case studies.
- Review and improve environmental controls, site environmental plans, and reporting processes.
- Prepare environmental performance reports for regional and group‑level meetings.
- Support environmental accreditations, audits, and compliance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience managing environmental controls and compliance within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of waste legislation, materials management, and environmental permits, consents, and licences.
- Experience working within an ISO 14001‑certified management system.
- Knowledge of CL DoWCoP and materials reuse requirements.
- Experience undertaking environmental audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Relevant environmental degree or qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Internal Auditor qualification, CSCS card, and CL DoWCoP training desirable.
