We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to support the Construction Group Head of Quality, Environment and Sustainability in driving environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement across our projects and operations. What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and report on environmental compliance and sustainability performance across construction sites.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System.
  • Conduct environmental audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Provide guidance on environmental legislation, waste management, materials reuse, and sustainability best practice.
  • Support pre‑construction and tender submissions, including environmental proposals and case studies.
  • Review and improve environmental controls, site environmental plans, and reporting processes.
  • Prepare environmental performance reports for regional and group‑level meetings.
  • Support environmental accreditations, audits, and compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience managing environmental controls and compliance within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of waste legislation, materials management, and environmental permits, consents, and licences.
  • Experience working within an ISO 14001‑certified management system.
  • Knowledge of CL DoWCoP and materials reuse requirements.
  • Experience undertaking environmental audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Relevant environmental degree or qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Internal Auditor qualification, CSCS card, and CL DoWCoP training desirable.
