Caddick Construction is a family‑owned business renowned for quality, integrity and innovation in the construction sector. We are seeking an Apprentice Site Engineer in our Yorkshire NE region to join our construction team and develop a long‑term career within the industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience on live construction projects while studying toward a recognised qualification, typically a BSc/level 6 or level 4 qualification. Working alongside experienced engineers and site management teams, you will support the delivery of projects safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Site Engineering team with setting out and surveying works on site.
- Support the monitoring of construction works to ensure accuracy and compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Assist with recording site measurements and maintaining accurate records.
- Help ensure health and safety standards are maintained on site.
- Support quality inspections and documentation.
- Work closely with the site team and subcontractors to support the smooth delivery of the project.
- Attend college or training programmes as part of the apprenticeship scheme.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in construction and engineering.
- Good numerical and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
