Caddick Construction is a family‑owned business with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and customer satisfaction across the Residential, Industrial, Logistics and Commercial sectors. We are currently recruiting an Aftercare Administrator to join our Quality & Aftercare team, based at our Wakefield office, supporting projects across the Yorkshire region with site visits as required. This role plays a key part in managing post‑handover defects, customer care and warranty matters, ensuring issues are logged, tracked and resolved efficiently and professionally. Candidates with experience in a housebuilding or residential construction environment will be particularly well suited to this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Aftercare & Defects Administration
    • Log, track and manage all post‑handover defects and customer care issues from receipt through to resolution.
    • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of defects, actions, costs and completion dates.
    • Coordinate defect rectification works with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
    • Ensure aftercare activities are carried out in line with company procedures and service level expectations.
    • Support the Quality & Aftercare Manager in achieving timely and defect‑free project close‑out.
  • Systems & Reporting
    • Maintain aftercare records using internal systems including Viewpoint and Clixifix (where applicable).
    • Produce regular reports on defect trends, response times, costs and outstanding actions.
    • Monitor KPIs relating to aftercare performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure all documentation is accurately recorded and filed in line with company processes.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
    • Assist with monitoring aftercare budgets and tracking costs associated with defect rectification.
    • Raise purchase orders and process invoices in line with company financial controls.
    • Track costs against budgets and report variances.
    • Support retention recovery by ensuring accurate records of defect costs and responsibilities.
  • Scheduling & Coordination
    • Schedule inspections, remedial works and follow‑up visits.
    • Coordinate access arrangements with clients, residents and managing agents.
    • Monitor progress of scheduled works and proactively follow up outstanding actions.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Communication
    • Act as a professional point of contact for customers, clients and internal teams.
    • Maintain clear, timely and professional communication.
    • Escalate recurring or high‑risk issues where appropriate.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Support audits, reporting and data analysis.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and commercial information.
    • Assist in identifying trends and lessons learned to feedback into construction and preconstruction teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an aftercare, customer care or administrative role within construction, housebuilding or a similar built environment.
  • Understanding of residential or housebuilding construction processes.
  • Experience using construction systems such as Viewpoint; knowledge of Clixifix is advantageous.
  • Experience of budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong IT skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
