Caddick Construction is a family-owned business renowned for quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team on one of our upcoming Industrial/Logistics projects. The role is to manage operational resources (people and assets) to implement the plan safely, on time and to the required quality while maximizing customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate site preparation, ensuring all required facilities are established before the project starts.
- Monitor, manage and regularly update and report on the Contract and Construction Programme.
- Identify key project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Deliver projects to high standards, on time and to the expected quality.
- Compile and implement the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and manage it during the project.
- Collaborate with the onsite team including subcontractors, engineers, and management to ensure all on-site activities are properly managed.
- Enforce HSEQS protocols on site consistently and promote a culture of safety, adhering to Health and Safety standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular safety and quality inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Hold a minimum of SSSTS, First Aid at Work qualifications, and a relevant CSCS card.
- Supervise and motivate directly employed teams and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, prepare valuations, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Take a proactive approach to day-to-day problem-solving and resolve site issues promptly.
- Review and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Liaise with clients, providing progress updates and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Use IT tools (Word, Excel, and project management software) to manage reports, schedules, and documentation.
- Administer the temporary works procedure and fulfill the duties of a temporary co-ordinator/supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety in the construction environment.
- Experience as a Site Manager on Industrial & Logistics or Steel Frame projects.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in project scheduling tools.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
- A valid SSSTS certification, First Aid at Work qualification, and a relevant CSCS card.
- Several years experience as a Site Manager on Commercial, Residential and/or Industrial projects.
