Senior Project Manager - Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead on a large Industrial/Logistics project in Stoke. What You’ll Do

• Liaise with the Operations Manager and site team to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget.
• Project forecast handover dates are realistic and communicated effectively to the Operations Manager.
• Have strong knowledge of contractual obligations for the specific project.
• Participate and provide updates for the regular cost review meetings with the site teams.
• Prepare and maintain the project specific quality plan ensuring that it is fully implemented by all members of the site team.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are championed at all times.
• No defects are evident at practical completion and a robust regime of snagging is in place throughout the contract duration, particularly at handover stage.
• Manage all aspects of construction programmes, schedules and trackers.
• Deputise for Operations Manager at site meetings as and when required.
• Develop strong working relationships with site teams, client and subcontractors alike.
• Ensure the site is fully compliant with all health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
• Manage and mentor the Site Team.
• Assist the Commercial team regarding any legal, contract or insurance issues.
• Liaise with Social Value Manager where applicable to support client commitments.
• Any other reasonable duties considered necessary to contribute to the effectiveness of the company and keep management regularly informed.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in the management of large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary construction teams. Experience in the Industrial/Logistics sector ideal but not essential.
• Previous experience in promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large-scale construction projects.
• Technical knowledge of construction build processes and defects.
• Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
• Experience managing Residential, Industrial, Retail or Commercial Projects up to £50 Million.
• A multi-skilled trade background or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerproject.
• SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
• First Aid Certificate.
