We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Durham to work on a variety of Industrial, Logistics, Commercial and Residential projects. What You'll Do
- Working on a variety of projects in the North East region reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager.
- The role will be a mix of office and site based work and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible.
- Ensure that projects are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved.
What We're Looking For
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor, managing the commercial delivery of construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract, with a strong understanding of Construction Law and contractual risk management.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, cost reporting, cash flow, forecasting and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Extensive experience procuring and managing subcontract packages, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Strong knowledge of monthly CVRs, earned value analysis, accruals and commercial reporting.
- Experience leading commercial negotiations with clients, consultants and the supply chain to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Excellent commercial awareness, leadership, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior commercial team members.
