We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team on projects in Newcastle. What You’ll Do
- Liaise with the Operations Director and site team to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget.
- Ensure realistic project forecast handover dates and communicate effectively to the Contract Manager.
- Maintain strong knowledge of contractual obligations for the specific project.
- Participate in and provide updates for regular cost review meetings with the site teams.
- Prepare and maintain the project-specific quality plan, ensuring full implementation by all site-team members.
- Champion the highest standards of safety and quality at all times.
- Ensure no defects at practical completion with a robust snagging regime throughout the contract duration, especially at handover.
- Manage all aspects of construction programmes, schedules and trackers.
- Deputise for the Operations Director at Site Meetings as required.
- Develop strong working relationships with site teams, clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure the site complies with all health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
- Manage and mentor the Site Team.
- Assist the Commercial team regarding legal, contract or insurance issues.
- Liaise with Social Value Manager where applicable to support client commitments.
- Any other reasonable duties to contribute to the effectiveness of the company and keep management informed.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary teams. Residential/Multiroom sector experience is ideal but not essential.
- Experience promoting and ensuring exemplary health and safety standards on large-scale projects.
- Technical knowledge of construction build processes and defects.
- Strong working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
- Experience managing Industrial and/or Commercial Projects up to £30 Million.
- Multi-skilled trade background or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Powerproject.
- SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely; First Aid Certificate.
