What You’ll Do

  • Review tender documentation, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to bid strategies.
  • Complete accurate take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and conduct cost comparisons.
  • Work closely with the construction and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and methodology.
  • Produce tender handover packs for successful bids and support the project team through preconstruction.
  • Use software such as Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX, and Excel to manage estimating tasks and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with cost planning and two-stage tenders.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Conquest and Bluebeam/CostX.
  • Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement processes.

  • Highly numerate and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.
