The Planner will work closely with project teams to develop, monitor, and manage project schedules. This role is based out of our Durham office and serves the Yorkshire & North East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including Design Deliverable Programmes, Procurement Programmes, and Commissioning and Completion Programmes.
- Support critical path analysis to ensure project timelines are met.
- Review tender/construction drawings, specifications, and bills to contribute to robust build sequences.
- Help create integrated Project Programmes that measure progress across all project stages.
- Contribute to the development of Information Required and Procurement Schedules.
- Review subcontractor programmes and assist in ensuring alignment with overarching Project Programmes.
- Collaborate with on‐site project delivery teams to support project goals and meet business unit targets.
- Provide consistent and reliable programme data to the Project Management team.
- Assist in preparing and delivering reports, including updates on critical paths and rescheduled activities.
- Support the identification of potential issues with project plans and assist in proposing solutions to mitigate impact.
- Help challenge proposed changes to ensure project objectives are not compromised.

- Assisting in the provision of detailed planning insights to Project Management teams.
Required Skills And Experience
- Some experience in a planning role within the construction industry or relevant exposure to project planning activities.
- Basic knowledge of project planning systems and tools, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in relevant planning software.
