Summary
Due to our exciting plans for organic and sustainable growth, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Civils Estimator to join the team. Caddick Civil Engineering is a family-owned business which is part of Caddick Group. We are currently delivering exceptional projects in the Yorkshire region across a range of sectors. These include Industrial, Logistics and Residential. Our future plans include growth in the North East region also. This role is to be based in our new Wakefield office.
What Youll Do
This role will work within the Estimating team for Caddick Civil Engineering, reporting to the Lead Estimator. Caddick Civil Engineering works very closely with Caddick Construction which presents a great opportunity for collaboration within the Group. The ideal candidate would be someone with proven experience as an Estimator within a Civil Engineering firm, who is interested in joining a forward thinking, growing but stable business with an excellent reputation in the market.Caddick support individuals who are driven to innovate and raise the bar, this role is ideal for someone who wants to lead and develop the estimating function.
Duties to include:
- Measurement and Take offs
- Setting up the pricing document
- Preparing cost estimates
- Assessing project risks
- Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquires for the buying department
- Communication / interaction with clients / stakeholders.
- Carryout tender handover meetings with the site teams.
Required skills
Theability to read and interpret project information (including drawings and specifications), proficient in estimating packages / software or willing to undertake the necessary training, technical skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, a team player.
