The Role:
We require an afterschool club Assistant to support two sessions per week. The role will require you to facilitate play, supervise and support activities and safeguard children after school. Under the direct supervision of the Headteacher you will be responsible for operating the After School Club so as to ensure the safety, general welfare and proper conduct of pupils during this period. To develop, implement and review the policies, procedures and practices within the After School Club in line with the agreed principles of the Kings’ Forest Primary School After School Club ethos.
The successful candidate will:
- A motivated individual who is able to use his or her own initiative.
- The ability to build excellent relationships with children whilst maintaining professional boundaries and high expectations of behaviour.
- The ability to facilitate and support play.
- The confidence to meet and greet parents and pass on any messages.
- The willingness to undertake any necessary safeguarding training, treating children with dignity and respect at all times.
- Good sense of humour.

Fluency Duty: This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
