CAD-IT are seeking to fill an Owner Content Author role for a project with an automotive customer. This opportunity is perfect for an enthusiastic, passionate and process driven individual with good IT skills and first-hand experience of automotive publications and/or documentation, ideally with a background in authoring similar content.
Responsibilities
- You will produce a handbook specifically for the owner. These documents are written in plain English and would be translated into multiple languages and formats.
- The purpose of owner literature is to inform the user how to use systems, understand symbols, complete procedures the owner may be required to perform, provide contact details, technical information, service details and vehicle recovery information (supplied to the recovery agent).
- Your responsibilities working as a Owner Content Author will likely include:
- Owner Manual – this is the main publication from which the others can be derived, printed and digitally delivered, in all required languages.
- Service Record – required in some countries without (OSH) online service history, printed delivery, multiple languages.
- Vehicle Specific Guide – High performance use, off road use etc.

You will need to be organised because in time your responsibilities will include understanding and implementing how your work will interact with a vehicle programme’s product development lifecycle.
