Join CAD-IT as a Vehicle Diagnostic Author and become part of a friendly, collaborative team to create and deliver high-quality technical documentation for a leading automotive OEM. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in vehicle diagnostics and an understanding of automotive electronic systems, ready to contribute to clear, effective diagnostic documentation in a dynamic environment.
Expectations:
- Support all aspects of diagnostic technical authoring, testing and solution development.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Interpret complex topics and deliver them in an easily understood and unambiguous way.
- Ability to multitask and balance frequently changing priorities.
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of program development and integration.
- Use of Microsoft Office packages.
- An eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to diagnose faults in a logical and concise manner.
- Good communication skills with all business levels, from Directors to technical subject specialists in all business areas, in a global company.
- Produce documents using a combination of methods from various data sources.
- Engineering knowledge: be able to read and understand technical drawings, engineering processes and liaise with engineering personnel.
- A good understanding of how to behave in a professional customer-facing environment.
- Must have the ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Desired but not essential:
- Trained in Simplified Technical English.
- Diagnostics authoring experience.
- Experience of using 3D CAD or modelling software (training will be provided!).
Responsibilities:
- Support the diagnosing of complex faults based on an initial symptom / DTC.
- Determine and author the process workflow required to resolve faults which will be implemented into a guided diagnostics system.
- Manage and publish the content for intended use by dealer / technician.
- Liaise with engineering stakeholders to gather information.
