CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist joinery and interior fit-out business based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Our client delivers bespoke work across commercial, retail and residential interiors and is looking to recruit a Senior CAD Technician / Joinery Draughtsperson to support the technical design and production of its projects.
As a Senior CAD Technician / Joinery Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for taking projects from initial concept through to production, developing the technical details required to turn design proposals into practical manufacturing information. You will take ownership of individual projects, resolving joinery details and ensuring drawings and supporting documentation are accurate and ready for manufacture.
You will use Autodesk Inventor to produce detailed drawings and models, alongside preparing CNC files, cutting sheets and bills of materials. Working closely with the design and production teams, you will ensure that design intent is clearly communicated and that technical queries are resolved as projects progress into manufacture.
You will need experience in joinery detailing, with a sound understanding of materials, construction methods and manufacturing processes. Experience producing bespoke retail fixtures or joinery for cosmetics displays would be particularly relevant, although experience across other specialist joinery or interior fit-out projects will also be considered.
You should be confident developing technical details independently and managing your work through to production. Experience with Autodesk Inventor is preferred, although our client will also consider you if you have strong SolidWorks experience and relevant joinery knowledge. Clear communication, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with colleagues in design and manufacturing are essential.
The salary is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum for a senior technician, depending on experience. Our client will also consider technicians at £35,000 - £40,000, with a higher salary available for someone bringing the experience and capability to take on a CAD Manager role.
