JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will be reviewing and approving the final engineering design, documentation and design verification packages from conceptual/proposal design mutually agreed with the customer. You will be collaborating across multiple teams to assure requirements are captured in drawings and the design is finalised on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing Surface Wellhead and Tree final engineering design which fit the needs of the client while emphasising proven technologies and existing solutions.
- Generating designs, machine detail drawings, stack up drawings, Bill of Material, calculations, engineering part information, including leading system integration testing in the plant and field installation procedure, to meet customer requirements and industry standard (API6A).
- Ensuring Engineering deliverables are completed within the agreed timeline.
- Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
- Employing the best combination of all preliminary information and contributing data to develop final design.
- Providing technical guidance and performing reviews of engineering deliverables for other engineering team members.
Progress Monitoring & Control:
- Track and report progress against baseline schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Identify delays, risks, and variances; recommend recovery or mitigation actions.
- Support project performance analysis, generate dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide accurate and timely updates to team leader/manager.
- Communicate to procurement and operational teams on impact analysis of design and documentation releases for new, revision and remanufacture parts, systems.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, vendors, and testing disciplines.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:
- Have Bachelor degree with honours in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Engineering for Surface Pressure Control (Surface Wellhead and Tree) equipment.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Familiar with design verification and validation processes in an equipment manufacturing business.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
