We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to join our client on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract , with a clear focus on reviewing our supplier base, identifying commercial opportunities and delivering measurable cost savings.

Location: Remote UK (applicants must be in the UK with valid working permit)
Salary : Up to Β£100k
The role will involve undertaking a detailed review of spend across multiple material categories, identifying key suppliers, areas of dependency and opportunities for supplier consolidation.
You will be responsible for:
- Analysing current spend, supplier dependency and purchasing categories to identify cost-saving and consolidation opportunities .
- Reviewing existing supplier contracts, pricing and commercial terms, identifying gaps and upcoming renewal risks.
- Benchmarking pricing and reviewing previous negotiations and realised savings to identify further opportunities.
- Leading supplier negotiations to deliver savings through price reductions, improved payment terms, volume leverage, specification rationalisation and supplier consolidation .
- Reviewing supplier governance, performance, risk and business continuity arrangements.
- Establishing a procurement pipeline and negotiation tracker , prioritising opportunities based on potential value, spend and ease of delivery.
- Developing a 12-month procurement roadmap , setting out key initiatives, timelines, savings targets and ownership.
- Tracking and reporting on key procurement KPIs, including cost savings, cost avoidance, savings realised, spend under contract, preferred supplier usage and supplier consolidation .
- Improving contract coverage and ensuring appropriate supplier agreements, renewals and risk assessments are in place.
The successful candidate will be a commercially focused and analytical procurement professional , with strong supplier negotiation skills and the ability to quickly assess opportunities, build relationships and deliver tangible financial results.
