We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong track record in the construction or contracting sector to drive growth within key frameworks, including social housing, large-scale property asset owners, and care home sectors. This is a high-impact role with a clear progression path to Sales Director within 18 months, including a seat on the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth and achieve sales target
  • Build and manage relationships with Tier 1 & 2 contractors and major asset owners
  • Develop and execute sales strategy in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Lead tendering, estimating, and submission of high-value (£multi-million) proposals
  • Manage and grow strategic accounts
  • Work closely with marketing to enhance brand presence and lead generation
  • Travel nationally for client meetings and site visits
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Shape long-term commercial strategy and business growth

Requirements

  • Proven BDM/sales experience within construction, civil engineering, or property refurbishment
  • Strong experience with frameworks, tendering, and large contracting projects
  • Track record of winning business with Tier 1 & 2 contractors
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales/business development
  • Full UK driving licence
