As a growing scientific communications agency, we are seeking a Senior Account Manager who will be responsible for managing accounts and standard projects independently, ensuring they are completed on budget, on schedule, and to the required specifications.
Please note: We are a remote-first organization, and we embrace an "accelerate from anywhere culture". You may be required to travel based on business requirements or for company/team events.
Responsibilities- Client relationship accountability
- Understand client objectives, adapt to their working style, and ensure all deliverables align with client expectations
- Proactively identify challenges and delivery risks, implementing solutions and corrective measures to strengthen partnerships and optimise outcomes
- Lead and support strategic, complex projects across therapeutic areas using compelling storytelling and impactful visual conceptualization
- Encourage client feedback to drive improvement, and present new initiatives to stakeholders when appropriate
- Ensure a seamless client experience and drive timely project closure to boost productivity
- Review deliverables to ensure alignment with client objectives and monitor timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery
- Lead project kick-off and client calls, share scopes and MoMs promptly, and conduct debriefs to capture and implement learnings
- Maintain regular communication and take relevant actions with third parties that influence deliverables, such as congress secretariats
- Lead project status meetings with accurate reporting to ensure alignment with client objectives
- Support governance reporting with the Account Director through monthly and quarterly reviews
- Identify growth opportunities and support the Account Director with business forecasting
- Education: Degree minimum (life science degree advantageous) or demonstrable experience in medical communications or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience: 2+ yearsβ experience as an Account Manager within healthcare communications agencies, predominantly in the medical affairs
- Business skills: Strong client relationship-building and business communication skills with experience in managing small accounts and executing global programs while ensuring client satisfaction and trust
- Business Acumen: Demonstrates strong understanding of medical communications, has knowledge of client environments and market dynamics, and makes strategic decisions that drive value for both the company and its clients
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills by building rapport across diverse personalities, presenting facts objectively, owning mistakes, and solving problems with excellence
- Technology skills: Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Microsoft Project), Adobe
- Adaptability: Shows an eagerness to learn and apply AI tools and technologies
- Travel: This role includes occasional travel to the client site in London, potentially once a month
