Overview: Cactus Life Sciences is a global provider of medical communications to the biopharmaceutical industry. We are looking for an Associate Medical Writer who will work in a team under the supervision of an experienced writer to develop powerful, evidence-based scientific and medical information for different audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Under senior supervision, develop scientific and medical content for educational and promotional materials (for example, brochures, newsletters, booth panels), publications or clinical/regulatory documents.
- Under senior supervision, develop PowerPoint slides including scientific content, for presentation at meetings or for educational or training purposes.
- Attend client meetings, congresses, etc. to provide support under the supervision of experienced medical writers.
- Proofreading, formatting and data checking of scientific documents, including slides, abstracts and educational materials.
- Conduct critical literature reviews based on searching of online sources.
Skills and requirements:
- Business and Technical Skills:
- PhD/MD in medicine, life or health sciences, or pharmacy.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to interpret data quickly.
- Interested in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare trends.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Very good user knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint (or other cloud-based document management systems) and AI-based tools (especially CoPilot).
- Good communication skills to clearly express complex ideas.
- Able to work as part of a team or independently within a dynamic matrix environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills, embracing opportunities to collaborate with and learn from other team members.
