We are seeking an experienced Service Now Solution/Platform Architect to lead a strategic data architecture engagement within one of the UK's most high-profile public sector organisations.
This role is focused on transforming the Service Now platform into a trusted enterprise service management capability by establishing a robust data architecture, strengthening CMDB and CSDM maturity, and enabling future platform capabilities including AI, automation, Identity and Access Management, IT Asset Management and Enterprise Service Management.
Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Service Now Platform Architecture
• Review Service Now Licensing capabilities to provide
- Current vs Unused
- Readiness for modernisation ie, Licensing required
- CMDB and CSDM
- Assess current CMDB maturity
- Develop a roadmap aligned to Service Now CSDM
- Rationalise CI structures and relationships
- Improve service dependency visibility
- Data Architecture
- Identify authoritative data sources
- Map end-to-end data flows into Service Now
- Document transformation logic
- Define mastering rules
- Produce data lineage documentation
- Assess data readiness for future Service Now capabilities
- Data Governance
- Define governance models for Service Now data
- Establish Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities
- Develop RACI models
- Introduce data quality monitoring
- Align with existing organisational governance frameworks
- Recommend retention and sovereignty approaches
