Researcher Training is a client-facing function that imparts training to researchers, universities, and corporate clients through live in-person sessions and online webinars. We have a global pool of trainers who conduct these events for our research base around the world. Training topics include manuscript writing, journal selection, submission package, grant writing, science communication, graphical abstracts, case report writing, thesis writing, AI for research, etc.

The training session formats include:

  • In-person workshops (CACTUS will cover travel and other domestic expenses)
  • Online webinars

As an Academic Publication Trainer and Consultant, you will work closely with the training team and be involved in delivering high-quality training programs to researchers from various disciplines. This may occasionally include reviewing manuscripts of researchers and offering on-site, one-on-one guidance for how to improve them further. Some requests also include preparing training materials, while others could involve live sessions on a social channel.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality training
  • Preparing and customizing training content as per request
  • Understanding in adequate detail the author services Editage, CACTUS offers
  • Collaborate with the training team on designing the outline of training programs based on client requirements, modifying training content and approach based on feedback shared by Editage or the client
  • Occasionally reviewing research manuscripts written by workshop participants either before or during sessions and sharing personalized feedback and tips with participants on how to improve the language, flow, structure, and other aspects of content presentation

Knowledge and skills:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, preferably in Engineering or Medicine
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in publishing research articles in international high-impact-factor journals
  • In-depth knowledge of processes and trends in the academic publishing industry
  • High level of ownership and ability to work with tight deadlines
