Cactus Communications is a pioneer in content solutions, accelerating the advancement of science through specialized services for researchers, publishers, and academic societies. We are looking for a dynamic B2B Marketing Manager, specializing in the publishing industry to lead our marketing efforts for publishers, societies, journals, and other stakeholders in research. This role is critical in driving our ambitious goals in terms of brand growth, client engagement, and market share in the scholarly publishing ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the unique challenges and priorities of the publishing industry.
- Identify trends, competitor activities, and client pain points by conducting market research.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the needs of publishers, societies, and journals.
- Craft and execute go-to-market plans for new services or partnerships, ensuring alignment with business goals, using every channel to generate leads and meet the B2B revenue goal.
- Manage multi-channel campaigns (email, events, digital, content, and social media) to drive lead generation and brand visibility.
- Successfully run global events and measure success via lead-gen.
- Leverage data analytics to measure campaign success and refine marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create high-quality, relevant content (blogs, case studies, white papers, webinars, etc.) targeted at B2B audiences.
- Plan and execute participation in industry events, webinars, and conferences to foster relationships with publishers and societies.
- Maximize opportunities by effectively utilizing our existing activities such as podcasts, newsletters, posts to reach target audiences.

- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Expertise in demand generation, account-based marketing, and digital marketing tools.
- Experienced in running global events and measuring success via lead-gen.
- Strong strategic acumen to create and implement data-driven marketing plans.
- Proficiency in measuring ROI for campaigns and leveraging tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to execute independently and collaborate cross-functionally as required.
- Good understanding of trends like open access, transformative agreements, and digital publishing.
- Strong ability to manage remote work effectively and flexibility to collaborate with cross-functional teams in different locations when required.
