About us: Our company, the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK is a specialist technical consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers' complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join one of our live projects within our Identity E2E business. IdentityE2E is redefining QA test engineering with our innovative products and services. Based in London, we are on the lookout for a Senior Test Engineer with deep expertise in automated UI and API testing.
Role Location: You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require you to visit London-based customers on a weekly basis.
Role Overview: As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability and scalability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions that meet the needs of our fast-paced, agile development environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and implementation of automation test strategies to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps) to understand requirements, define test plans, and build effective test automation solutions.
- Developing and maintaining automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Enforcing best practices in test automation, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Ensure high test coverage and performance efficiency across multiple platforms and environments.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and contribute to improving overall code quality and standards.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers on best practices in test automation, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).

For this opportunity: We are looking for experienced Test Engineers with a passion for Automation testing, with expertise using Selenium, Java and AWS. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins. Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including TDD, BDD, and continuous testing.
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, leading the charge in test automation and ensuring the highest quality standards for our software solutions. Due to the nature of the sector, this role would prefer applicants to hold high-level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
