We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers' complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with an experienced DevOps Engineer to join one of our live projects in our National Security Team. The Role: Due to continued and sustained growth, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an Agile engineering team to work on a large complex programme of work for one of our National Security Customers, building a new bespoke software solution. You will be involved in:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure & private clouds.
- Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with related technologies such as Docker and Helm.
- Developing and implementing automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
- Optimising infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
- Continuously monitoring and improving infrastructure and application performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and application issues.
- Managing and mentoring junior DevOps engineers.
The role will be office-based 4 or 5 days per week from Cheltenham, Bristol or Manchester.
The Fit: We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player. You will have previous experience in a DevOps focused role, able to play an active role in the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You will be excited about working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. We are interested in speaking with candidates with experience in some of the following:
- Developing and deploying secure products using appropriate technology and patterns.
- Familiarity with key cloud concepts and technologies.
- Designing and operating highly available shared solutions.
- Working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Working with high-level stakeholders - both internally and externally.
- Exposure to some of the following technologies: GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Vault, Serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory & Nexus.
Due to the nature of the sector, this role would prefer applicants to hold high-level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
