Role Overview
We are seeking a Solution Architect with in-depth expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems to lead the review, analysis, and upgrade strategy of our operating systems. The role involves assessing the compatibility and readiness of applications for migration to newer OS versions and providing recommendations for seamless transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of the current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems environment.
- Assess compatibility of existing applications with newer OS versions and determine dependencies or required upgrades.
- Develop and recommend a migration strategy to move systems to supported versions of Windows OS.
- Provide guidance on upgrading applications to enable OS transitions while minimizing downtime and risk.
- Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions.
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of OS migration projects, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
- Deliver technical documentation, roadmaps, and presentations for proposed solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Senior-level expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems , including upgrades and migrations.
- Extensive experience in upgrading and transitioning operating systems in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of the interplay between operating system upgrades and application compatibility.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OS and application migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to devise scalable and sustainable solutions.
