CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities.
Skills/Experience:
- A core group of 1 Senior, 1 Mid-level, and 1 Junior Wintel Engineers. The Junior would focus on simple migrations and administrative duties while the others perform the complex server migrations and any template definition.
- Build a new VM running Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025.
- Join it to the domain and register it with support services (e.g., security, patching).
- Install dependencies and supporting roles.
- Work with the BAU team or product owner to install the application and migrate data.
- Once the application has been tested, back up the existing VM, refresh migrated data, and supplant the existing VM (by IP migration or client re-configuration).
- Deactivate services on the old VM and allow a two-week cooling-off period before powering it off and later removing it from the estate.
Desirable are mentions of SCCM (Configuration Manager), NSX, or vSphere/vCentre/ESX.
