CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities.
The role
Our Project Managers (working as part of a client team, CACI team or individually) have responsibility for project managing the definition, design and delivery of our client solutions as well as internal CACI software delivery, including project initiation, project planning, financial/budget management, partner/subcontractor management, project reporting, risk and issue management, project closure. In addition, the Project Managers may support sales and business development activities by undertaking defining project scopes, resource and cost estimating and promoting the company’s ability to deliver.
The role may also require the successful candidate to support many customers and projects and to potentially broaden their areas of expertise to cover new opportunities; however, it is recognized that an individual may have skills, experience, aptitude or interests that will lead him/her to specialize in a particular area.
Core skills, knowledge and experience required
- The ideal candidate is a junior PM or associate who can manage spreadsheets and follow instructions.
- Specific telecoms, PSTN, or WLR experience is not required.
- General project management skills and the ability to “turn the handle” are the key requirements.
- The role aligns with the previously mentioned “junior STM” specification.
- Experience working on large scale IT systems.
Desirable qualities
- Some knowledge of Integration methodologies, eTOM, ITIL and Solution Architecture principles - familiarity with the key OSS/BSS processes, for example, alarm correlation service management, fault management, provisioning and activation, order management, inventory management, billing and customer management.
- Some knowledge of IP Network Management Systems (Assurance).
- Awareness/Appreciation of Telecom fixed/mobile Operator Systems specifically Service Assurance, Trouble ticketing, Work Force Management, Network Planning and Design Systems, Inventory, and Network Fault and Performance Management solutions.
- Awareness/Appreciation of Telecom fixed/Mobile Operator networks including Optical, Radio and wireless.
- Experience of business Transformation projects.
- RFQ/RFP and Procurement management.
- Experience with OSS/BSS Implementations and in providing “end to end” technical leadership for OSS/BSS projects.
- CCNA or any similar IT Networking certifications.
