What you’ll be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Technology team as a Tech Lead. We have a diverse client list, working with some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the UK across various sectors including utilities, gaming, publishing, retail, consumer packaged goods, leisure, and financial services.
This role involves leading projects and being the designated tech lead on retained accounts.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical oversight and assurance to projects and change requests, regardless of size
- Developing costed proposals for new work, ensuring requirements are clear, solutions are viable, and best practices are followed
- Producing detailed effort estimates considering the full scope of work
- Owning solution design and implementation
- Creating and maintaining technical specifications and documentation
- Driving planning activities with development teams
- Managing and prioritizing team workload
- Offering technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
- Understanding and driving solutions at both detailed and strategic levels
- Anticipating and mitigating project risks and issues
- Establishing trust as a technical authority and trusted advisor to clients
- Partnering with client IT teams to ensure adherence to policies
- Facilitating workshops and client meetings, including discovery and requirements gathering
- Ensuring follow-up and delivery of actions post-meetings
- Supporting pre-sales activities with solution design and technical responses
- Participating in client strategy sessions, providing technical leadership and recommendations
- Identifying and securing additional project opportunities
- Serving as an escalation point for project or support challenges
Who you are:
- Experienced as a Senior Developer or Technical Lead, with a track record of supporting or leading complex MarTech implementations
- Knowledgeable about at least one of the following vendors: Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Braze, Bloomreach, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, mParticle, Optimove, Tealium AudienceStream
- Energetic, positive, and motivating
- Experience working in an agency, consulting, or technology organization
- A team player who shares knowledge and mentors others
- Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Flexible in communication, both proactive and reactive
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, capable of explaining complex solutions to clients
- Experience delivering projects onsite and working with client IT teams
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions
- Organized, capable of managing multiple projects
- Attentive listener, able to understand client requirements and ask insightful questions
- Pragmatic, recommending solutions that meet needs without excessive customization
- Deep experience in at least one marketing technology platform, preferably in campaign management or automation
- Exposure to Customer Data Platforms and involvement in implementation is a plus
- Ability to provide accurate effort estimations for MarTech projects
