Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be a BA (Business Analyst) with the ability to understand and elicit requirements for complex enterprise projects that often involve one or all of: business process modelling, defining new solutions, system/technical analysis, and user story design in the World of Location Intelligence data soft and delivery tools.

Working for the Product Strategy & Implementation team, but part of a broad and hybrid team of staff in the UK and India, the Digital BA will work closely with the engineering and product teams as well as subject matter experts and senior stakeholders, utilising their experience in communication & discovery, coupled with their technical expertise of digital projects to ensure that requirements and specifications are documented with the high standard of detail demanded by delivery teams in order for them to effectively impact assess, design solutions, develop code and robustly test.

Core skills, knowledge, experience required:

  • Work closely with the business to understand their needs and the needs of their users
  • Document user stories and associated acceptance criteria
  • Document and map As-is and To-Be views of systems and business processes
  • Document and present effective solutions to all stakeholder levels
  • Be pro-active in identifying new value to the business
  • Contribute to strategic planning when considering future releases and roadmaps
  • Work with the Agile delivery team to translate the business vision into effective requirements to support development
  • Collaborate with the development team in the UK and India to ensure correct implementation of requirements
  • Help resolve any issues within the project team
  • Help organise complex requirements into effective solutions
  • Assist the project team in estimating work
  • Establish a high level of knowledge in the latest BA methods and techniques
  • Coordinate with and advise the Scrum Master on requirements-related issues and dependencies
  • Run discovery sessions to capture scope and future requirements

Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience working for a software / web development organisations
  • In-depth experience working with Agile / SCRUM / Kanban delivery approaches
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS products and their capabilities and limitations
  • Excellent communication skills and techniques
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management, facilitating workshops, discovery techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to accept and respond to questions and challenges from senior management, business and subject matter experts
  • Ability to anticipate issues, cope with ambiguity, and proactively solve problems
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience within the Geospatial / Location Intelligence sector
