You will be playing a central role in a fast paced, agile delivery team; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to build a range of backend systems, data processing pipelines, and progressive web apps. Responsibilities will include:

  • Project Managing a number of in-flight projects, responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing risk, issues and budgets to enable successful project delivery.

  • Leading delivery from a position of influence
  • Managing relationships with key business stakeholders, resolving escalations as required
  • Clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective.
  • Addressing team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team.
  • Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

THE FIT:

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, so we want our team to have a proactive and can-do attitude to their work. We are passionate about technology and pride ourselves on keeping up with emerging technologies and delivery best practice so it is important that you enjoy learning and continuous improvement.

For our current requirement, you will have:

  • Knowledge of contemporary software engineering.
  • Experience leading the delivery of Software based projects.
  • The ability to work with high-level stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).

Due to the industries we work in, we would prefer applicants to currently hold active high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 10 years.
