We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. Working as part of the Defence stream at CACI IIG, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to play a leading role in our growing team.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Defence Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and growing key customer relationships across UK MOD and Defence Industry partners, with a specific focus on the delivery of Digital solutions. You will work closely with our long-standing customers, ensuring projects are delivered to high levels of satisfaction and maintaining CACI IIG’s position as their partner of choice. Working closely with the Business Development team, you will also develop new business within the current customer base.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Developing account plans and strategies for key growth areas and programmes, aligned with the overall CACI IIG Defence strategy, and reporting progress to the Defence Stream Director and wider Commercial Team.
- Working closely with the Delivery Leads to support the existing Account growth and identifying future opportunities within existing customers.
- Managing pipeline of opportunities aligned to key revenue and profitability targets.
- Engage with and building senior stakeholder relationships – in the MOD and selected partner organisations, acting as a strategic and trusted partner on digitisation and data driven change.
- Generating profitable Defence sales, including upselling and cross-selling, identifying opportunities to grow business with existing clients, new clients and strategic partners.
- Working with the Technical Leadership Team to support the development of propositions to take to market, in line with our offerings, that reflect a deep understanding of the domain and client needs.
- Working with the Defence Director and Technical leadership team to inform new offerings and develop capabilities aligned to understanding of MOD direction.
- Consulting and driving a business analysis approach with customers to determine the best solution to meet their objectives.
- Escalation point for customers and CACI Delivery Leads.
- Liaising with Operations & Technical Leadership Team to identify and maintain resourcing required to deliver projects.
- Forecasting orders and revenue and providing key metrics to the business.
- Developing partnerships with external organisations in line with account goals and managing these partnerships to the benefit of CACI, the partner and customer.
Role Location:
CACI works in a hybrid way, from one of our offices across the UK or from home, you decide. For this opportunity, you will be required to make regular visits to our Bristol office, plus visits to customers as required.
The Fit:
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with the Defence sector within a Senior Consultative or Sales role and a good understanding of IT and the Digital sector, including Architecture, Cloud and Application Development.
You will have:
- Recent / current knowledge of the UK MOD organisation, including specific domain knowledge of one or more of Support and Logistics, Defence Digital, DE&S, Army Command, Navy Command and Air Command.
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key stakeholders and championing their requirements.
- Leading and developing bids and propositions including drafting content as required.
- Managing customer relationships ensuring we meet client goals while achieving company commercial objectives.
- Actively participating in commercial negotiations.
- Confidence to engage with high-level stakeholders – both internally and externally.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflict.
- Ability to build and maintain high performing teams.
- Ability to prioritise tasks/requirements and action these with minimal supervision.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
