This role is a DevOps Engineer within IIGâs National Security Team, working on a large, complex programme with a bespoke software solution.
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure and private clouds.
- Deploy, scale and manage Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with Docker and Helm.
- Develop and implement automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for security, compliance and disaster recovery.
- Optimise infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance and cost efficiency.
- Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Manage and mentor junior DevOps engineers.
The ideal candidate is a selfâmotivated, multiâtasker with strong teamâplayer skills. You will have:
- Experience in a DevOpsâfocused role and a track record of delivering secure, scalable software.
- Proficiency with cloud technologies and building highly available shared solutions.
- Handsâon knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Vault and related tooling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, GitLab or Jenkins).
- Excellent communication and leadership for working with highâlevel stakeholders.
- Exposure to serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana and Artifactory/Nexus.
Due to the nature of the sector, this role prefers applicants holding highâlevel security clearance. To qualify you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years.
This position is office based 4â5 days per week from Cheltenham, Bristol or Manchester.
