Permanent Part Time position (3 days / 22.5 hours per week) at Cabrini Brighton location.

Cabrini Brighton is seeking an experienced hospitality trained Cook to support our Food Preparation team. You will work within a knowledgeable and supportive team in our large kitchen preparing quality food for our patients and for functions. This role offers plenty of variety - alongside your cooking responsibilities, you'll also have the opportunity to support the wider Food Preparation team with Food Service Assistance duties, making each day a little different. The position is part time (22.5 hours per week) and we are ideally seeking someone happy to be flexible with shifts. This is a great role to develop your skills and expand your career within a passionate, caring, experienced team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing bulk high quality and nutritionally balanced food and beverages efficiently and according to requirements
  • Assisting with the general operation of the kitchen
  • Stock control management and ordering
  • Quality control and meeting food safety (HACCP) requirements
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals in regard to patient dietary needs

What we're looking for:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Recent experience in a commercial or bulk cooking environment, preferably health or aged care
  • A positive attitude and professional manner with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Excellent organisational skills and are reliable and flexible
