The Clinical Education department has a centralised model of education with a core curriculum informed by organisational risk, workforce requirements and Cabrini’s customers. The department develops resources and training programs for nursing, midwifery and allied health staff, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout our organisation to promote high quality care and lifelong learning for our staff.
What the role involves:
- Facilitate high quality clinical placements for undergraduate nursing and midwifery students by promoting evidence based practice, enquiry and reflective learning.
- Support preceptors and clinical staff to provide meaningful learning experiences that develop students' knowledge, clinical skills and professional practice.
- Act as a positive professional role model, supporting students throughout their clinical placement journey.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Clinical Preceptors, the Clinical Educator (Undergraduate) and higher education providers to enhance student learning outcomes.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor of Nursing qualifications.
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Current TAE40116 - Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or equivalent, or working towards).
- Current unrestricted registration as Registered Nurse with NMBA.
- Demonstrated advanced acute nursing experience and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures affecting nursing practice.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation of clinical learning.
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Preceptorship experience including provision of performance feedback and remediation processes.
