About the role
Cabrini's Perioperative Services are expanding, offering opportunities for experienced and aspiring theatre nurses to grow and thrive in a supportive and cutting-edge environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Deliver care to patients to meet Cabrini's organizational goals.
- Demonstrate attention to patient and family needs to maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Encourage cross-specialisation work to broaden skills and knowledge, supported by an experienced onsite education team.
Qualifications
- Previous instrument/circulating experience in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynaecology and General Surgery.
- Relevant nursing qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Relevant postgraduate certificate or equivalent in perioperative nursing or critical care (desired but not essential).
- Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes.
Mandatory for all new staff
- Satisfactory background checks such as professional references, National Police Check.
- Vaccinations for annual influenza and possibly Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended.
