Cabrini Brighton prides itself on continuing the community hospital experience from back when the site was known as Brighton Community Hospital. From the moment staff or patients walk into the hospital the sense of compassion and care is at the very forefront of your experience. Cabrini Brighton Perioperative Services is a caring yet dynamic environment with 5 operating theatres and 1 stand-alone endoscopy suite. Providing a range of surgical specialties ranging from Orthopaedic, Plastic and reconstructive, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Endocrine, General/laparoscopic, Urology, Colorectal, ENT and Maxillofacial/dental, with approximately 800 operations each month, ensuring patient centred care. Our day-of-surgery admissions focus on every patient having a positive experience with their admission to theatre, while our Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit and discharge lounge cater for all specialist post-operative care requirements.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum 3 years Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics/PACU experience to join the Perioperative team in on a Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual bank capacity. Our team of nurses are encouraged to work in a wide range of areas to broaden their skills and knowledge of the patient’s perioperative journey. If you choose to apply for casual employment, we are seeking that you commit and can complete a minimum of two shifts per month and ensure that all your annual learning competencies are completed and kept up to date.

You are a passionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse with recent experience in Scrub Scout, who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic perioperative environment. You will also have the following:

  • Relevant Perioperative Services experience
  • Victorian Working with Children Check
  • Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes
