About Allied Health services
Allied Health at Cabrini is a rapidly expanding and highly integrated service comprising twelve professional disciplines. The department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation. Cabrini Allied Health offers a wide range of opportunities, including senior consultant and leadership roles, clinical stream positions, junior staff rotation and support programs, professional development and teaching opportunities, and the cultivation of strong external and university partnerships.
How You Will Make an Impact
As an Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) within our busy Acute Social Work department, you will work alongside multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. In this permanent 34.2 hour per week role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support to Social Work clinicians, assisting with psychosocial support and discharge planning at Cabrini Malvern and other sites as required. You will contribute to delivering a positive experience for patients, carers and families, working within Cabrini’s Mission, Values and professional standards.
What we’re looking for:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Knowledge of client care relevant to Social Work services
- Understanding of professional standards, accountability and supervision
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, flexible approach and ability to work with diverse populations
