In this front-line role, you will be part of a small but dedicated team who ensure a personalised, warm, and efficient food and beverage service is provided to our guests at the Cabot Way. Sponsorship is not available for this role and applicants should possess the correct right to work in UK documentation. Must be able to serve alcohol so over 18 years old. This is an annualised contract which means the successful candidate enjoys around 12 weeks off each year.
Core Responsibilities and Competencies:
- Going above and beyond your duties where appropriate and being observant to make sure that there are no unattended guests.
- Ensure that service runs smoothly, and any guest issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assisting with the opening or closing of the clubhouse.
- Familiarise and understand the menu and be able to describe the dishes on offer to the guest.
- Liaising closely with chefs, kitchen staff and starter pavilion staff.
- Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment at all times.
- Identify unsafe areas and activities and report hazards immediately to the Duty Manager.
- Undertake any mandatory training to meet company and UK legislated Health & Safety requirements.
- Point of Sale and cash handling including tips reporting if cash in hand received.
- Processing all payments accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Previous restaurant supervision an asset.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Scotland (18).
- Working knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer can be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours – mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends as required.
Working hours:
Up to 20 hours per week for part-time team members and up to 40 hours per week for full-time team members. Clubhouse opening hours depend on bookings on the day, but generally hours of clubhouse operation are from 7am until 9.00pm with occasional corporate dinners or special events until 10:00/10:30pm. Flexible working hours with both morning or dinner shifts available weekly. Applicants must be available to work weekends as required and agree with Manager.
