Your New Role… We are looking for a Booker for CNN Global Productions (Events). In this role you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing guests, panellists, and speakers for CNN’s live events and related content. Reporting to the Senior Director and working closely with the Executive Producer and event planning teams, you will play a key role in shaping the editorial and experiential impact of CNN’s events.
Your Role Accountabilities…
- Research, identify, and secure high-profile and relevant guests, panelists, and speakers for CNN events and associated content.
- Work closely with the Senior Director, Executive Producer, and event planning teams to align talent selection with event themes and objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for talent before, during, and after events, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
- Build and maintain a diverse and extensive network of industry contacts, thought leaders, and potential speakers.
- Negotiate appearance details, schedules, and logistics with talent and their representatives.
- Support the development of event content by suggesting and booking compelling contributors.
- Remain agile and responsive to last-minute changes, demonstrating composure and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Represent CNN professionally in all interactions with talent and external partners.
Qualifications & Experience…
- Experience in booking, talent management, or guest coordination, preferably in media, events, or news environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Passion for news, current affairs, and live events.
