CAA seeks a Photographer/Videographer/Editor in London for our inâhouse Creative Services department. In this role, they will report to the Head of Production and work closely with the Project Manager, both based in Los Angeles. The Photographer/Videographer/Editor will utilize their arts education, professional experience, natural cinematic eye, and imagination to shoot, edit, refine and finish original content that supports business strategies. In addition to original corporate content, the Video Editors work on a range of projects including clip playlists, client and corporate sizzle reels, concept videos, web/social videos, video interstitials, motion graphics, sound editing, and special client projects.
Responsibilities
- Meet with assistants, agents, executives and clients regarding photography and videography needs.
- Discuss needs with colleagues, clients or managers and advise on the best plan to build out visual tools for internal or external needs using CAA's exclusive pitching applications to secure business opportunities for clients, colleagues, and the agency as a whole.
- Work in conjunction with Head of Production and Project Manager to produce, source, organize, edit, and archive corporate and client materials.
- Handle all aspects of production for a talkingâhead style interview.
- Create individualized plans to showcase client materials as described in requests using creative judgement, communicate with Project Manager and stakeholders, and address notes as needed.
- Bring unique pointâofâview, trained eye, natural ability for pacing, education, and specialized skillsets to every request.
- Work independently without onâsite production support, managing all aspects of photo and video setâup efficiently and within tight timelines.
- Event and portrait photography.
- Color correction and photo editing.
- Navigate multiple projects in various stages of production and postâproduction to completion.
- Brainstorm with the creative team on upcoming projects or pitches.
- Manage individual workload via assigned Asana tickets.
- Live editing during special recorded events via Livestream Studio, onâsite, or other platforms.
- Stay up to date on the latest video and photography trends and applications to continually improve skills.
- Troubleshoot and problemâsolve using vast knowledge of preâproduction, production, and postâproduction best practices and software.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in film, video, media, production, photography, editing or a related field or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience working in a creative environment such as an agency, production company, post house, freelance editor or event production.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to conduct onâcamera interviews, provide constructive realâtime feedback, and guide participants toward clear and authentic delivery.
- Show reel of videos showcasing impressive, original work, natural talent and imagination.
- Proven technical aptitude with audio, lighting, and camera gear.
- Portfolio of still photography, event photography, and/or portrait photography.
- Understanding of editing concepts around pacing, structure and emotion.
- Ability to set up lights, câstands, backdrops.
- Personable and friendly, be an effective interviewer.
- Experience with live event videography including gimbal techniques, drone, etc.
- Ability to set up editing projects, manage folder and file structures, work quickly and efficiently, and archive in line with established team workflow.
- Advanced knowledge of Lightroom, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate creative concepts.
- Technical aptitude related to color profiles, operating systems, export settings, codecs and ability to troubleshoot computer issues with tech support as needed.
- Plugged into advancements in motion, animation, music and video, including everâevolving social media formats and technology.
