Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker to join a skilled and collaborative engineering team in Torquay. This hands-on role will focus on the manufacture, repair, and maintenance of precision injection mould tooling, supporting efficient production operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance are maintained throughout the tooling lifecycle.

Responsibilities of the Toolmaker:

  • Manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain injection mould tooling to precise engineering standards
  • Interpret technical drawings, CAD data, and tooling specifications accurately
  • Support preventative maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve tool performance and longevity
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to support production, tool trials, and new product introduction activities

Requirements of the Toolmaker:

  • Time-served Toolmaker with proven precision engineering experience
  • Background within injection moulding, plastics manufacturing, or a similar production environment
  • Competent in CNC machining processes and working to tight tolerances
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
