Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new opportunity in a fast-paced and supportive environment? This well-established company, with a strong reputation in the warehousing and logistics sector, is looking to expand its engineering team at its Exeter site. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and improvement of machinery and site facilities. This is a multi-skilled position with a strong electrical bias, suited for a proactive individual who enjoys fault-finding and implementing technical solutions. The role sits within a collaborative team reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm; Half day Friday, Overtime is available

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of warehouse machinery and auxiliaries
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), installations, and responsive repairs
  • Improve and maintain high standards of workplace housekeeping and equipment reliability
  • Support production uptime through electrical and PLC troubleshooting, and mechanical/hydraulic systems work

What we’re looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical competency, especially with production machinery
  • Independent problem-solver with examples of implementing improvements or change
  • Sound understanding of health & safety and root cause analysis in an industrial environment
