Our client is an Exeter-based forward-thinking organisation recruiting an IT Support Engineer.

Role

You’ll provide end-to-end IT support to approximately 100 users, working across 1st to 3rd line support issues, and play a hands-on role in the delivery of key IT projects.

Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer include:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring a smooth user experience
  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, managing updates, devices, and system security
  • Deliver training and maintain user-friendly IT documentation to support knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to IT projects, from software rollouts to full system migrations, ensuring seamless adoption

Requirements of the Support Engineer include:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar technical roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, and Defender
  • Solid understanding of networking principles – DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, and firewalls
  • Security-conscious with practical experience implementing endpoint protection, MFA, SSO, and phishing prevention

Package:

Salary up to £40,000 DOE, 25 days’ annual leave (increasing yearly to 30), comprehensive benefits package.
