Reporting directly to the Head of Risk, this position will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the management of organizational risk.
Key duties include contributing to risk-related projects, developing and updating risk registers, maintaining procedures to mitigate risk, and performing second-line controls within the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Furthermore, the role requires a commitment to enhancing the CA Auto Finance brand through alignment with the organization\’s core vision and values.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Assist in identifying, measuring and monitoring potential risks throughout the business, liaising with key stakeholders.
- Perform quarterly second line controls to monitor risks within the businesses and support the first line in creating action plans to mitigate any highlighted risks.
- Observe and participate in relevant meetings to gain an extensive overview of different departments.
- Performing research and analysis on risk topics, working in both Microsoft Excel and through SAP Business Objects.
- Work on ad-hoc & recurring annual projects including segregation of duty analysis and operational risk mapping for the Risk department.
- Work closely with CA Auto Bank Headquarters on new and emerging Risk management techniques and requirements.
- Satisfactorily complete assignments within established timeframes.
- Responsibly handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
ABILITY AND SKILLS PROFILE:
- Be detail-oriented, well organized and able to prioritise assignments with limited supervision
- Confident in independent decision making.
- Be able to follow through process chains and document findings in a clear way and where appropriate identify risks to the company and provide recommendations on how to control those risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify process improvements and work with the Head of Risk to implement improvements.
- Ability to achieve required performance targets.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A graduate from a numerate discipline, ideally Business or Economics, at 2:1 level or higher.
- Fluent in English.
IT SKILLS PROFILE
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to Intermediate level.
