C9 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager on behalf of a major operator within the UK transport and travel sector. This organisation is well-established, rapidly expanding, and backed by significant investment, operating a large fleet and multiple sites across the region.

The Role
As Regional Sales Manager, you will take ownership of sales activity across multiple sites in the London & South-East region. You will lead and motivate a regional sales team, support key client relationships, and play a vital role in commercial strategy, business development, and overall revenue growth.
Key elements of the role include performance monitoring, new business generation, team development, compliance with established sales processes, tender support, operational collaboration, and contributing to regional reporting. You will also work closely with wider commercial teams to ensure alignment and share best practice across the group.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and brings proven experience within transport, travel, logistics or another service-led sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and manage a regional sales team to exceed revenue and conversion targets
- Monitor and analyse key sales KPIs including pipeline progression, conversion rates and quotation response times
- Ensure compliant, accurate and consistent sales processes across all sites
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities to grow regional market share
- Coach and develop the team to maximise capability, performance and commercial awareness
- Act as the escalation point for major clients and high-value accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Support tender renewals, submissions and new contract bids
- Provide insight for monthly and quarterly sales reporting at regional level
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and promotional activity
- Work closely with operations to align service delivery, improve communication and understand fleet availability
- Share best practice with other regional teams to support cross-regional commercial consistency
About You
- Proven background in sales leadership, business development or commercial management within transport, travel, logistics or a similar service sector
- Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and client-facing skills
- Strong analytical, forecasting and reporting abilities
- Understanding of tendering processes and public/private sector contracts (desirable)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
