C9 Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Coach Drivers to join a well established and respected coach operator based in Oldham and Carrington supporting their Rail Replacement services. This operator runs a modern fleet of high specification vehicles. They pride themselves on maintaining high professional standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Description

  • Professional driving role managing a mixture of basic coach duties and Rail Replacement work with access to modern vehicles.
  • Drivers will be responsible for providing a safe, professional and customer focused service while ensuring full compliance with tachograph regulations and drivers’ hours legislation.

Umbrella Rates

  • Monday – Friday - £22.58 per hour
  • Saturday – Sunday - £23.90 per hour

PAYE Rates

  • Monday - Friday - £17.00 per hour
  • Saturday - Sunday - £18.00 per hour

Requirements (Essential)

  • Valid PCV Licence (Category D)
  • Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 3 years bus or coach driving experience
  • DBS or willingness to obtain
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate modern high specification coach vehicles
  • Deliver excellent customer service to passengers
  • Ensure compliance with tachograph regulations and drivers’ hours legislation
  • Carry out daily walk around vehicle safety checks
  • Maintain a professional and smart appearance in line with company standards
  • Represent the operator professionally during events, tours and private hire duties

Compliance

Drivers must comply with all Drivers’ Hours Regulations, including the requirement for a 45 hour weekly rest period. Applicants who have other employment must ensure their combined working hours allow them to remain fully compliant with legal rest requirements.
