C9 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients in the Dover area. This role involves a mix of scheduled services, private hires and exciting opportunities to drive on UK and European tours. As a key representative, you’ll provide safe, efficient, and friendly transport while delivering a high standard of customer service on local and long-distance journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate PCV vehicles (buses/coaches) on assigned routes, including UK and EU tours.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, supporting passengers throughout their journey.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects or safety concerns.
  • Comply with road traffic laws, driving regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and incidents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle at all times.
  • Work closely with operations staff for route planning, updates, and changes.
  • Handle delays or disruptions professionally, keeping passengers informed.

Rates of Pay

  • Umbrella: Monday - Friday: £19.92 per hour; Saturday - Sunday: £22.76 per hour
  • PAYE: Monday - Friday: £15.00 per hour; Saturday - Sunday: £17.14 per hour

Requirements and Experience

  • Valid Category D driving licence and up to date Driver CPC qualification (essential).
  • A digital tachograph card.
  • Experience in PCV driving (preferred).
  • Good geographical knowledge of UK and European destinations (an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Smart, professional appearance with a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and overnight stays during tours.
