C9 Recruitment are currently seeking PCV / Coach Drivers on a full time basis for our client located in Southampton. If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
  • Report any fines or tickets received to the office as soon as possible.
  • Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken every time the vehicle is used to a standard acceptable on the road.
  • Report any defects to the office.
  • Ensure that all passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly in the appropriate location using the necessary safety equipment.
  • Ensure that the vehicle in use has adequate fuel for the journey, refuelling as and when required or instructed.
  • Clean the vehicle inside and out on a regular basis.
  • Park the vehicle in the depot correctly, in pre-allocated bays where possible.
  • Operate the passenger lift and other equipment used to assist passengers whilst entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
  • Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient, informative manner.

Pay Rates
  • Umbrella Rates:
  • Standard rates Weekday: £21.91 per hour
  • Weekend: £23.24 per hour
  • Bank Holiday: £23.90 per hour
  • Adhoc rates Weekday: £22.58 per hour
  • Weekend: £23.90 per hour
  • Bank Holiday: £24.57 per hour
  • PAYE Rates:
    • Standard rates Weekday: £16.50 per hour
    • Weekend: £17.50 per hour
    • Bank Holiday: £18.00 per hour
    • Adhoc rates Weekday: £17.00 per hour
    • Weekend: £18.00 per hour
    • Bank Holiday: £18.50 per hour
    Candidate Requirements
    • Two years' PCV driving experience
    • Category D Driving Licence
    • Valid CPC card
    • No more than 6 points (NO DRs, CDs, or TT99s)
    • Digital tachograph card with knowledge of tachograph & drivers regulations.
    • Excellent customer service skills - friendly, polite and respectful
    • Smart, professional appearance
    • Standard DBS required
    • Minimum age 21 (For insurance purposes)
