C9 Recruitment are currently seeking PCV / Coach Drivers on a full time basis for our client located in Southampton. If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
- Report any fines or tickets received to the office as soon as possible.
- Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken every time the vehicle is used to a standard acceptable on the road.
- Report any defects to the office.
- Ensure that all passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly in the appropriate location using the necessary safety equipment.
- Ensure that the vehicle in use has adequate fuel for the journey, refuelling as and when required or instructed.
- Clean the vehicle inside and out on a regular basis.
- Park the vehicle in the depot correctly, in pre-allocated bays where possible.
- Operate the passenger lift and other equipment used to assist passengers whilst entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
- Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient, informative manner.
- Working Monday - Sunday
- Average 45 hours per week

- Umbrella Rates:
- Standard rates Weekday: £21.91 per hour
- Weekend: £23.24 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £23.90 per hour
- Adhoc rates Weekday: £22.58 per hour
- Weekend: £23.90 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £24.57 per hour
- Standard rates Weekday: £16.50 per hour
- Weekend: £17.50 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £18.00 per hour
- Adhoc rates Weekday: £17.00 per hour
- Weekend: £18.00 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £18.50 per hour
- Two years' PCV driving experience
- Category D Driving Licence
- Valid CPC card
- No more than 6 points (NO DRs, CDs, or TT99s)
- Digital tachograph card with knowledge of tachograph & drivers regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills - friendly, polite and respectful
- Smart, professional appearance
- Standard DBS required
- Minimum age 21 (For insurance purposes)
