The Senior Finance Manager provides integral support to the Group Finance Director and the Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) in managing the finances of C5 Alliance Group and various group companies, working closely with the senior leadership team across business service lines. As Senior Finance Manager, you will provide support with month end close activities, budgeting, forecasting, actual spend reporting and ensure the day‑to‑day accuracy of financial records. You should have strong business, technical, analytical and commercial skills and be able to apply your knowledge to provide advice to the management team in line with Group policies and accounting standards. You should be forward thinking and able to develop innovative solutions to support the business growth and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor day‑to‑day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and transactional processes
  • Lead the management, monitoring and interpretation of cash flows, including forecasting future trends
  • Lead and develop junior finance team members, supporting performance and progression
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports, overseeing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Provide and interpret financial information to key stakeholders to support short‑ and long‑term decision‑making
  • Analyse business performance and key drivers, providing insight and recommendations
  • Support and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Support the delivery of the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as required
  • Develop and maintain external relationships with auditors, banks, legal advisors and regulatory bodies
  • Proactively manage and elevate debt‑related issues
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining robust internal controls
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of financial regulations, legislation, and accounting standards
  • Stay informed of technological advancements and accounting systems to drive efficiency and improvement
  • Review & comply with all relevant financial crime policies & procedures
  • Ensure mandatory financial crime training is complete (self and managers/team members under responsibility)
  • Promote compliance culture; support development of financial crime awareness among employees
  • Report suspicious activity as required within internal procedures
  • Comply with Group Data Protection policy.

Experience

  • Previous managerial experience gained in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience in finance with minimum post qualification experience 5–6 years.
  • Proven history of quality, excellence, and successful delivery in relevant field.
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Strong IT skills

Education

  • Must hold relevant professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or ACA (or equivalent)
