JOB TITLE: People and Culture

LOCATION: Swindon

SALARY: Β£30,000

WAY OF WORKING: 5 days a week onsite

THE BUSINESS: Our client is a well-established name in the travel industry, specialising in creating premium cruise and holiday experiences. Known for their innovative approach, they bring together luxury travel, tailor-made itineraries, and first-class service to deliver unforgettable journeys.

THE PEOPLE AND CULTURE ADVISOR OPPORTUNITY: As a People and Culture Advisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business by handling a wide range of daily HR tasks and ensuring managers at all levels receive the guidance and assistance they need.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities by drafting job adverts, posting to job boards, and coordinating with agencies where needed.
  • Prepare and issue HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and employment letters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle β€” onboarding, maintaining HR systems and records, processing leavers, and coordinating payroll and benefits updates.
  • Act as a point of contact for staff, managers, and applicants, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and general queries.
  • Produce regular reports on key people metrics such as absence, headcount, and vacancies, and contribute to HR projects and system improvements.
  • Handle confidential correspondence and inboxes, support HR meetings and note-taking, and assist the wider People & Culture team with ad-hoc initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills β€” empathetic, approachable, and an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • High standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Previous HR experience in roles such as HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, or similar, with knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with solid keyboard skills for producing accurate reports, forms, and spreadsheets.
  • Able to work methodically under pressure, delivering results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion, with a CIPD Level 3 (or higher) qualification desirable.
